Intelligent design to cleverly fuse together zones for relaxation, play & production

Donnell Garden

Bespoke recently completed concept and planting design for the Donnell garden - the proposed new home of the directors of Donnell & Day Architects.  Their architectural design strives to show how it is possible to build and live well within a small suburban site, without resorting to the typical developer driven solutions.

Therefore their brief was that the landscape design should support these principles and in particular extend the illusions of space, distance, enclosure and privacy into the garden areas. Due to the limited area intelligent design had to cleverly fuse together zones for relaxation, play & production whilst maintaining a cohesive whole.

Sustainable outcomes are also highly prevalent and much of the garden planting focussed on incorporating edible specimens as an integral part of the design as opposed to separate entities and areas.

We look forward to watching this project unfold and will post further updates as it progresses.
