At the same time that many New Zealanders were relaxing in the balmy early January sunshine, Andrew was rediscovering the country from an entirely new perspective.

Motorcycling is one of the best ways to sample the richness and diversity of our landscapes, as local variations in climate and topography are directly experienced by the rider.  The lush smells of Canterbury pastures, Mackenzie tussock, and West Coast native forest contribute to a distinct sense of regional identity.

Some of the highlights of the tour were Lake Tekapo, Moeraki, Akaroa, Kaikoura, and the winding scenic roads of Arthurs Pass, the Buller Gorge, and the Desert Road.
