Mangere Bridge Causeway
Site analysis, concept, developed and detailed design for the regeneration of the Mangere Bridge causeway and the mending of its connection to the old Mangere Bridge.  Design work was completed to address public needs for the space and inform the designated works being carried out by the MHX Harbour Crossing Alliance.  The design considered the wider context of the site, the historic references, the opportunities and constraints of the site, the public vision and the future uses of the site.  These elements were combined into a comprehensive design package that provided a vision for the future development of the space. Coordination was carried out with the consulting engineers for the tidal relationships of the site and the project archaeologist for the protection of the historic rock walls. Detailed design included for all elements of the project including paths, walls, custom street lighting, fishing platforms, rails and custom designed street furniture.
