IFLA competition sucess

1/6/2011

Bespoke were recently selected in a shortlist of Landscape Architects around the world to take part in a competition for the design of garden spaces within the upcoming 2013 World Landscape Art Exposition in Jinzhou, China.

Our concept proposition focussed on the Oceania region, in particular it's unique and varied composition, being made up of thousands of islands and warmly referred to as ‘down under’. Although the nations vary greatly in their size, culture, history and demographics, there is a common bond in our link to the coast and the sea.  The result is a contemporary, yet tranquil garden which explores several themes centred around this common link.
Our design proposal has subsequently been selected as one of the 20 competition gardens to be constructed within the expo site.  We are currently completing developed design and look forward to the projects evolution to a built product for the opening in 2013.
More information on the competition process and the successful garden designs can be read here.
