The seventh annual World Architecture Festival Awards have seen Auckland architects Fearon Hay gain wins in two categories, Display and Villa. The display category was won by the Te Kaitaka building for Auckland Airport, which Bespoke were fortunate enough to collaborate on for the landscape and urban areas of the project.

Bespoke attended the 2014 Resene Total Colour Awards on the 4th of September and were delighted to be recognised, along with our design collaborators Surface Design Inc., as the winner of the Landscape category. This award was gained for our recently completed project, The Esplanade at Auckland Airport and in particular the utilisation of colour within the design.
Bespoke were engaged by Auckland council to undertake the redesign and relocation of the playspace at Mountfort Park Manurewa.
Bespoke prepared a document for Auckland Council that analysed play experience and formed a series of concept options for innovation play opportunities, and playground designs.
Lee Brazier and Nat Lawrence have been recently appointed to Auckland Council’s Built Environment Unit Urban Design Advisory Panel.
Just in time for summer and the school holidays, Saturday December 14th saw Auckland's first Splashpad water play area opened at Potters Park in Balmoral.
The 28th of September saw the completion and opening of the new ‘Outdoor Gallery’ at The District at Auckland Airport.
Bespoke joined forces with Auckland Airport for the first ever parking day installation at The District.
As we draw a close to 2012 and reflect on the year that has been, it's refreshing to end the year on a high and be looking towards a positive outlook for 2013. We're continuing to work on a range of interesting and exciting commissions, including some high profile and challenging public spaces both within New Zealand and abroad.
It’s been a busy last year and hence a long time since we posted any updates... we’ve been enjoying working on a wide range of projects across a variety of scales and typologies and seeing some great projects come to fruition in both schematic and built form.
Bespoke were recently selected in a shortlist of Landscape Architects around the world to take part in a competition for the design of garden spaces within the upcoming 2013 World Landscape Art Exposition in Jinzhou, China.
We have recently been pondering in the studio, ways in which Auckland's CBD may offer a landscape and urban environment of greater delight and relief.
Waiheke Landscape+Sculpture
Returning to Waiheke Island for the fifth time, the biennial Headland Sculpture on the Gulf exhibition is one on New Zealand’s premier outdoor sculpture events. Its been quite a year at Bespoke with a new studio, new staff, new website and a variety of new projects, bringing growth and opportunity in many forms and directions.
The Lauriston Park project continues to receive accolades, with a further 3 awards being presented for the Village Centre building this year.
Chadegan & Esfahan
As a continuing part of the journey, Lee travelled through Esfahan and on to Chadegan. Tehran’s Parks & Open Spaces
Lee recently travelled to Iran in order to take part in an initial site visit and charette for a new 600 hectare resort project. As the debate continues and Auckland’s waterfront potential is slowly realised, we were excited to see the completion of Dublin’s Grand Canal Square by Martha Schwartz Partners (MSP).
Local television series ‘Rural Delivery’ recently featured the Tukipo Wetland project with a story highlighting the floating wetland technology.
Bespoke were honoured to receive a Landscape Design Bronze award for our project Lauriston Park.Lee recently attended the 2010 NZILA conference – Landscape10, The Power of Landscape, held at Te Papa in Wellington.
