JINZHOU EXPO

Bespoke were selected in a shortlist of landscape architects from around the world to design a garden space or the 2013 World Landscape Art Exposition in Jinzhou, China. In 2012 the project began construction for the opening on 10th May 2013. Our concept proposition focused on the Oceania region, in particular it's unique and varied composition, being made up of thousands of islands and warmly referred to as 'downunder'. Although the nations vary greatly in their size, culture, history and demographics, there is a common bond in our link to the coast and the sea. The result is a contemporary, yet tranquil garden which explores several themes centred around this common link.
