HAMILTON LAKE PLAYSPACE

Bespoke were honoured to play an integral part in the design of Hamilton Lake Playspace in collaboration with Future Landscapes, Playrope and Hamilton City Council. Our engagement centred around the integration of the water play feature and its surrounding landscape context. Consideration was given as to how this could work in best with the existing contours and features, as well as its connectivity to the other new play elements. The new playspace replaced a large section of the existing play area that was much in need of renewal and is one of a series of destination playgrounds that are planned for the city. New features include a large fort like play structure, the relocation of an existing disabled access swing, a new disabled access spinning roundabout and a series of exciting water play rills and stations. The design specifically seeks to cater better for users of all ages and abilities, including less able users.
