BIRKENHEAD WAR MEMORIAL PARK

As part of staged upgrade of park facilities supporting existing Leisure Centre and Pool complex, Bespoke have been involved in several projects aimed at improving amenity, legibility and functionality of existing facilities. This has included the design and revitalization of entrance features, concept proposals for pavement interventions aimed at improving circulation and wayfinding, design and construction of a new pump track, and performing a lead design role in the renewal of skate facilities in collaboration with Rich Landscapes (Skatepark Designer). Renewal of skate facilities required careful consideration and design of future terrace seating connections and provision of supporting basketball half court facilities to ensure long term improvement of access and range of activities associated with adjacent Leisure Centre and Pool Complex. Upgrade of entrance, pump track and skate facilities included full coordination of consultant disciplines and management of physical works contracts.
